Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct field empirical evaluation of odor substances and dust concentration, which is one of particulate substances, generated inside swine house to analyze their occurrence patterns and correlations. As a result of analyzing the correlation between major odorous substances and particulate matter in the swine house, total suspended dust and ammonia, fine dust and hydrogen sulfide, fine dust and complex odor concentration, ultrafine dust and complex odor concentration, fine dust and hydrogen sulfide showed statistically significant correlation relationship (p < 0.05). Since conditions such as ventilation status, number of breeding heads, operation method, and temperature and humidity were not considered in this study, additional research considering these factors is required in the future.
